The True Knowledge

The True Knowledge

“You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life.”
John 5:39-40

There is a vast difference between having a knowledge of the word
and knowing Him who is the Word

“There is scarcely anything so dull and meaningless as Bible doctrine taught for its own sake. Truth divorced from life is not truth in its biblical sense, but something else and something less”

Hello Beth: so appreciate your asking. I am making slow progress. I am waiting for an angiogram (sp) appointment that is to happen in the next 4-6 weeks in order to know the extent of things. The most trying part right now is my lack of energy as I have many dear people of God that I am in touch with all over the world.

The good thing that has come of this incident is in touching the reality of my own mortality it has given me a far greater sense of love and concern for those around me. Also an appreciation for the evident reality of His Life in my brothers and sisters which I easily see in you.

Thank you again and appreciate your prayers!

      Blessings

Hello brother, thank you for this message. It is very sobering, and of great value that those with ears to hear must take the greatest care of their salvation, and actively acknowledge the holiness of God. This is a wealth of knowledge for carefulness and faithfulness.
It seems that the Lord has been speaking about the attention of our affection or lack thereof that we have towards him. This is in addition to what the Lord wants to say to the church.
Our Pastor just finished an 11 part series on the churches of Revelations 2, and 3.
Keep your heart open to the impressions of the Holy Spirit.
    Bless you brother.
