There is a Trumpet Blowing
“Being divinely warned by God about the things not yet having been seen, moved with fear, by faith Noah prepared an ark for the salvation of his house; through which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness according to faith.”
Hebrews 11:7
There is an urgency in my heart to warn of upheavals coming so severe that apart from God’s mercy “there should no flesh be saved”. Faith hears and faith responds. Faith “sees” through the deceptive lull of our prosperity. People love to talk about politics and economics, doctrines, and the “signs” of His appearing, as though knowing these things will somehow prepare us! The Pharisees knew of His coming but their perverse hearts, blinded by their own pride and complacency, “condemned Him”. The faith that carries weight in our own preparation results in the works of faith by which we “condemn the world” and bring “salvation to our own house” (Hebrews 11:7).
“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened…”
Matthew 24:21-22
There is a Trumpet Blowing
There is a Trumpet blowing and those who have ears to hear know the “moving” of Him within. They seek out true fellowship with those who know the hour and carry within their hearts the “fear of the Lord” unto obedience.
Hebrews 10:24-27
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries
This is God’s Word and His Provision for this day! Spend time alone with God and read these scriptures, meditate upon them, and allow His Spirit to speak into your life. His salvation is contained within His Will. Those who do not obey His Word forsake their own standing in Him. People do not lose their first love; they forsake it to their own sorrow.
The Word of the Lord is clear: We are to “consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works”! Do we experience such expressions of His Spirit with the people with whom we meet? Do we feel the fire of His soon coming or have we settled in with others who trust in words and complacency that negates our accountability unto Him? His return is at hand, and we must experience the same faith that moved in Noah!
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,
…as the manner of some is”.
Many of us have become cold in heart, tepid in spirit, that we do not have that pressing within to an “assembling of ourselves together” in which exhortations of the Spirit are filling us with the faith and the fire of the Lord.
What is God’s declaration concerning this provision for us in this DAY? “so much more as ye see the day approaching”! Many may talk about their deep understanding of the last days but those who live in true faith are “moved” to this essential exhortation of God. It is time to forsake the pride, arrogance, and independence from Him and His Body. Obedience is the fruit of Faith. The assembling together in the Spirit of the Lord is for those who truly see what is coming and are not blinded by their own sufficiency.
Let us consider the context of God’s warning to us concerning the “assembling of ourselves together” for the purpose of strong exhortations.
For if we sin willfully!
“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins”!
How do we sin willfully? By forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, distancing ourselves from “provoking one another unto love and good works”, and closing our ears to the necessary exhortations of others.
“There remaineth no more sacrifice for sins…”
In other words, our failure to obey His exhortation will negate His grace to stand true in the hour that is upon us. Sin is willful disobedience. To receive Him as our Saviour and yet reject Him as Lord is the folly of religion.
“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord,
and do not the things which I say?”

and prepared not himself, neither DID according to his will,
shall be beaten with many stripes”
