“And as they went, they were cleansed!”

“And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when He saw them, He said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.”
Luke 17:12-14

Notice that the cleansing came “as they went.” They were still lepers when Jesus gave them the Word to “GO.” The cleansing power of God is the fruit of our obedience of faith. Many linger and fail to experience His power, waiting first for the miracle instead of walking by faith. Faith is the victory. Faith does not need to see; it only needs to respond and comply with His Word.

“the lepers are cleansed,
the deaf hear…”

As mentioned earlier concerning the ten lepers, the word to them to “go” was based on their condition. It was a word that they needed to hear. Their leprous condition required the word given. Their faith sought Him, His Word was given, and AS they walked in the Word the cleansing came.

Can we follow Him in our lameness? Is there an addiction that needs to be broken?

Come to Jesus

Is there a debilitating condition that lingers without relief?

Come to Jesus

Are there relationships that remain broken and the unrelenting sorrow of it fills the heart?

Come to Jesus

Is there a desire to reach the world for Christ and yet find your horizons small and hemmed in?

Follow Jesus

His path is sure, and the desire to make Him known is but an echo of His desire for you. Be faithful in the little things, and the door of greater service will come. Be steady, be true, for the harvest is sure.

There is no human condition that will not be touched by our obeying Him. No power can withstand His love and His power of regeneration. Every stain, every sin and every misery of the human heart will give way to the power of Christ within.

“AND AS THEY WENT, THEY WERE HEALED”

Let the lame rejoice, let the weak say I am strong, let those who sorrow find the life of Him to rejoice, let those who dwell in darkness respond to the wonder of Him who is Light.

His healing comes, His power is released, His love is known, and His Faith overcomes all things for those who continue in HIS WORD.

“If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:31-32

Obey and Behold His Work

“The way to be strong is to act on the credit of strength being
given. Strength is received in the act of obeying. When the
path of duty is clear, it is want of faith to continue asking for
strength, and not to act upon it.”
G. W. Mylne

“And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:
but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
1 John 2:17
