The Necessity of Life

“But if ye forgive not men their trespasses,
neither will your Father forgive your trespasses”
Matthew 6:15

It is crucial that we live with a clear conscience to all and a heart which speaks the truth in love. The great sorrows and regrets of life are often unexpressed love, unforgiveness and resentments for which the grave ends all hope of reconciliation here. The power of Christ presses men and women to make amends now in order to enjoy the fruits of His forgiveness now. May we embrace the power of these words and the resulting work of grace to free our souls from the anguish of “deeds left undone”.

“The bitterest tears shed over graves
are for words left unsaid and deeds left undone”
Harriet Beecher
