“Arise and eat.”
1 Kings 19:5

the morning feast

God’s provisions are fresh every morning. There is strength for the weary pilgrim, joy for the downcast, and mercy for our souls.

The Morning Feast

“The Lord is good to all:
and His tender mercies are over all His works.”
Psalm 145:9

Those who remain under the shadow of His hand, who follow their Shepherd through the wilderness of this life, are renewed by the springs of His Life within. His mercy covers all His works.

As we follow, we discover His provisions. As we seek, His treasures of grace abound. In the weariness of the way come the ceaseless ministrations of a strength that is not our own.

It is in the morning that we gather manna to meet the day. In the breaking dawn, His dew falls upon thirsty souls. He withholds nothing from those who have come to abide under the shadow of His wings.

There are ministrations of faith that dispel the sorrows of yesterday. Fresh faith makes each day an adventure into the mystery of His Will. It breaks the chains of mediocrity with the hope of touching another’s life with His love.

We partake of His love most
when it flows through us to others.

Each morning brings the possibility of encountering an empty vessel into which we may pour some lovingkindness. The faith of God within ever seeks opportunities to make Him known.

The Morning Feast

May we arise every morning to drink deeply from the well of His Life.

“O Lord: for in the morning
will I direct me unto Thee, and I will wait.”
Psalm 5:3 (GNV)

“PUT ON strength. We have not to purchase it, or generate it by prayers and resolutions, but simply to put it on. As we awake in the early morning hour and have to pass out into the arena of life, which has so often witnessed failure and defeat, let us put on the strength and might of the living Christ. He waits to strengthen us with all power, according to the riches of His glory. Do not simply pray to be kept and helped, but put on the whole armour of God. “The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?”

  • Yes! Amen to the Amen of our ardently affectionate Abba Almighty, the ceaselessly compassionate Son of His love, Jesus, His and our Christ, the Amen, the trusted and faithful and true Witness (Rev. 3:14), our constant Companion, Who never forgets, fails, nor forsakes individually, ever one of His chosen and redeemed bride.

For as many as are the promises of God, in Christ they are [all answered] “Yes.” So through Him we say our “Amen” to the glory of God. (1 Cor. 1:20)

And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:19)
