The Blessed Hope

“The glory of the Lord shall be revealed,
and all flesh shall see it together.”
Isaiah 40:5

While many look forward to that great day of His unveiling (rightfully so), may we carry in our hearts the truth that each of us is to be a ray of His splendor in our day-to-day existence.

“And to each has been given
the manifestation of the Spirit…”
1 Corinthians 12:7

The economy of God is the eternal giving of Himself; as we are caught up in His Spirit we become participants in that shining forth. May we comprehend the scope of His purpose in Christ for EACH of us. His desire is that we, in the uniqueness of His creative design, be a distinct and pure manifestation of HIS Spirit to each other and to the world around us.

The gift of ourselves to Him is the simple response to the gift of His Son to us. Our gift to Him is proportional to the impact that His unspeakable gift has on us.

“Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little”
Luke 7:47

The estimation of our need for His forgiveness
is revealed in the love that flows from us.

There are transactions within that are far beyond the words of religion. Love is the language and the power of the redeemed heart.

In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins”
1 John 4:10

Truth and reality, he who is forgiven little, loves little.

In the grand scheme of our presentation to Christ, what does the reflection of Christ from us look like?
If we truly are rays of his light, there is no reason for the world to remain in darkness.

    Awesome insight!

” And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil”
      John 3:19

The light has come and it continues to shine to varying degrees through His Body… May He continue to remove from me all that would dim His Light through me.

Be blessed–I appreciate the truth that is evident in you.

Merry Christmas to you and yours Brian.
Long before I knew Jesus Christ I knew of this one day a year where most people seemed just a little nicer to one another and that reason was Christmas.
Only God can turn a day like any other into something this special.
    Blessings
