A New Covenant Truth – The Fear of God
“I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of Me in their hearts, that they may not turn from Me.”
Jeremiah 32:40 (ESV)
The Fear of God
is a New Covenant truth
“By mercy and truth, iniquity is purged:
and by the fear of the Lord, men depart from evil.”
Proverbs 16:6
The Fear of The Lord
Brings us to the Power of The Lord
The “fear of the Lord” is not an oppressive truth. Instead, it causes us to “depart from evil” and live wholly unto Him. Our accountability to Him frees us to live in the Liberty of His Spirit! The awareness of His presence keeps us from the temptations of this world so we can walk in His freedom.
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.”
Galatians 5:16-18 (NKJV)
To be led by His Spirit is to be lifted into the realm of His power and influence. It is His nearness and abiding wonder that frees us from the deadly contagion of the flesh. There is a holy fear of all that is unclean and carnal in His presence that causes us to choose the good and forsake the evil.
Joseph – The Man of God
Joseph ran from the sultry and seductive offerings of Potiphar’s wife. By the wisdom and fear of the Lord, he fully understood the consequences of such things. Momentary pleasures can bring eternal consequences. Had he failed the testing at that moment, he would not have known the exaltation of the Lord. Testing brings victory to those who “by the fear of the Lord depart from evil.”
New Covenant Truth
Jeremiah, prophesying of the New Covenant of Grace, declared:
“I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of Me in their hearts, that they may not turn from Me.”
Jeremiah 32:40
May we appreciate and glorify God for the liberating truth that our fear of Him keeps us free and conscious of His watchful care. The “fear of the Lord” is a provision, a power that HE has embedded in the “Everlasting Covenant”. Sin comes when we are “drawn away” from the desires of the Spirit and fall into the despair and sorrow of serving our carnal nature.
“But each one is tempted when he is drawn away
by his own desires and enticed.”
James 1:14 (NKJV)
Whenever the gospel message minimizes the fear of the Lord, we must acknowledge it is the gospel of men and not the Gospel of God. It robs His people of the sanctifying power of His Spirit. May we read afresh the exhortations of His Word!
“…work out your own salvation
with fear and trembling.”
Philippians 2:12
A powerless church results from men forsaking the sharp sword of the Spirit to present a gospel that appeases the flesh and comforts men in their sins. The truth is that we are to “work out” our own salvation with “fear and trembling.”
Where are the ministers of Christ who can declare in truth:
“woe to me,
if I preach not the gospel!”
1 Corinthians 9:16
Preaching the Gospel of Christ is not a career choice or a position to covet. The true Gospel proceeds from those who feel the weight of His Call and the power and unction of the Holy Spirit burning within because they have touched the courts of His Fire (Isaiah 6:1-8).
“For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a stewardship. What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge…”
1 Corinthians 9:16-18 (NKJV)
The folly and the carnality that we see in much of the church today, where men and women covet the “unrighteous mammon” of the world, leaves them bereft of the unction and power of the Holy Spirit. Woe unto every minister who considers the people by which they are to serve HIM “as my church,” “my people,” and my congregation!”
Where are the ministers who can declare in truth concerning their ministration of HIM unto HIS people:
“…you are an epistle of Christ,
ministered by us, written not with ink
but by the Spirit of the living God…”
2 Corinthians 3:3
It is time to rediscover the “fear of the Lord” so that we may present Him as the King of kings and that our lives would be living epistles, known and read” of all.
Unlike today, the atmosphere of the early Church knew the power and wonder of the “Fear of the Lord!”
“And great fear came upon All the church…”
Acts 5:11

“Christian, let God’s distinguishing love to you be a motive to you to fear Him greatly. He has put His fear in your heart, and may not have given that blessing to your neighbor, perhaps not to your husband, your wife, your child, or your parent. Oh, what an obligation should this thought lay upon your heart to greatly fear the Lord! Remember also that this fear of the Lord is His treasure, a choice jewel, given only to favorites, and to those who are greatly beloved.”

Death in the House of the Lord, a Second Dream
The other night I had a dream where I saw the angel of death in a church. No particular denomination was indicated in the dream. I watched as he walked up the middle isle of the church and, as he did, I saw people randomly dropping dead. The Pastor did not notice and kept on preaching. The death angel kept on making his way up to the pulpit where the pastor was preaching and then stopped and listened to what the pastor was preaching. My opinion is that those in the pews that dropped dead were tares or, like Ananias and Saphara, were playing games with the Lord. The pastor was being watched to see if the Word of God was being faithfully preached or was he preaching a watered down, feel good message. I believe that we will begin to see pastors dropping dead in pulpits who preach a false gospel and not the true gospel of Jesus Christ

A new day is dawning where the Lord will visit us with the plumbline to straighten the crooked and bring glory to Himself in the midst of the lies and the mixture. Appreciate the dream!

Tares Gathered and Readied to be Burned
I had a dream where I saw many churches. Then I saw angels going into these churches and coming out with bundled tares. Remember the tares were planted by the Devil, allowed to grow with the wheat, then bunled and burned before the wheat is harvested.
Matthew 13:30 (NKJV) 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”‘”
The tares look like the wheat up until the time of harvest. When fully mature the wheat, with a full head of white grain bows in humility while the tares, known as Darnell, stand straight up in pride and produce a black head whose seeds are poisoness.
Darnel is a weedy rye grass with poisonous black seeds. Darnel resembles wheat in its early growth but is easily distinguished from it when full grown.
It is worthy of note that the reapers are angels and not humans. This is no accident because humans look upon outward appearances while God looks upon the heart.
In previous dreams I’ve had concerning this subject I saw both congregants and leaders dropping dead. I saw, in one dream, the death angel standing in front of a pastor while preaching and intently listening to what he was preaching. I believe we will see pastors, elders, and worship leaders who look good to human eyes but are tares drop dead.
The wheat is not gathered until the tares are removed, bundled, and burned

Too much “God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life,” and too little “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty (YHWH-Tzva’ot). Woe to me! I am doomed! — because I, a man with unclean lips, living among a people with unclean lips, have seen with my own eyes the King, YHWH-Tzva’ot!”
(Isaiah 6:3-4)
Yes amen… change is coming.

Your posting are jogging my memory of past visions and dreams I’ve had.
Truly, “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” (Proverbs 9: 10) Without it, we are reprobates.
I believe that the wisdom in your posts is from your having the fear of the Lord and being faithful.
Thank you and bless you for it.

Great words of Truth Brian. I believe there are hard hearts in the house of the Lord. They are bound by the Media idol and any Holy Spirit they have received through prayer leaks out because no one tells them they are feeding too much on the world. The Church is okay with the Media. Very few do not watch TV or listen to secular music. That is not pleasing to the Lord. I say it all the time and may have one or two who agree. Do you agree with me?
My watching is very limited (mostly youtube) and fully agree with you. Our sensing of the day and the time we live is known through the Holy Spirit.
Appreciate the feedback and the thoughts!

Thank you, Jesus!
