The Coming Year

The Coming Year the dawning of a New Day

The Coming Year*

(see note below)

The coming year will require a new faith and a new apprehension of Christ Himself. There are great changes on the horizon, darker days outwardly and brighter days inwardly. In this darkness the Lamp of the Lord will shine brighter and there will be a distinction between those who serve Him and those who do not (Malachi 3:18).

“The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD,
searching all his innermost parts”
Proverbs 20:27

The growing light of His Spirit will bring a seeing of ourselves, a new humility, and a deeper recognition of our need of His empowering grace. Grace that does not just cover our inherent brokenness but changes us “from glory to glory”. This change in His own is what will illuminate the truth of Him; not our political views or our involvement in the “affairs of this life”.

“No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life;
that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier”
2 Timothy 2:4

Mamre – The Place of Seeing

Those who dwell in Mamre (select link concerning the Land of Vision) remain outside of the darkness, the strife, and the fleshly deviations of the world. In this place of abiding God comes and gives promises with the infusion of His Own Name (YHWH). The Abrams of faith become AbraHams. The “H” of God’s Own Name is grafted into Abram. This fifth letter of the Hebrew alphabet illustrates the grace and power of God’s Own Nature in the prophetic illustration of the coming Christ! Sarai receives that same grace (H) to become SaraH (Genesis 17:15) with the expectation of Isaac, the child of promise. (Galatians 4:22-29). She “received strength” when she was “past age” of human ability!

“Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised”
Hebrews 11:11

God changed both of their names by inserting the Hebrew letter “H”, ה. Hebrewist say that this letter symbolizes “divinity/the nature of God” (appearing twice in the sacred Name of God-YHWH), and “H” with a geresh (‏׳‎ה )  an abbreviation for “the Name.”*

This powerful truth is further illustrated 2 Peter 1:4:

“by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises,
so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature…”

2 Peter 1:4

Looking Unto Jesus

It is a day to look beyond ourselves, to stop considering our own frailties and look unto HIM to provide the grace to carry us to the fulfillment of His purposes. Sara judged HIM faithful! True faith given by God will always enable us to see HIS Faithfulness.

God in Christ has given to us the Land of Promise, the Beulah of faith. It is a heavenly inheritance to those who have become His Bride, joined and married in heart; consecrated, holy and set apart for Him alone!

“Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi–bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married”
Isaiah 62:4

The promise comes to those who have ordered their steps aright in keeping with his word.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD:
and He delighteth in his way”
Psalm 37:23

In the land of Beulah His Promises become OUR Inheritance; an inheritance that is no longer ethereal but the sum and substance of our walk!

“And whatever we ask, we receive from Him
because we keep His commandments,
and we do the things pleasing before Him”
1 John 3:22

The Promised Outpouring of His Spirit

There is an outpouring of His Spirit coming, by the “spirit of grace and supplication” that will produce a prevenient mourning and weeping, accompanied by a heartfelt repentance. This will culminate in the outpouring of Himself into the New Wine Skin, a people joined in the fervent Love of Him. The unforgiving, the disobedient, the self-assured will never touch this wonder of His purposes in Christ.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time
1 Peter 1:3-5

There is a summation of ALL that God has purposed in Christ. There is a full salvation that is “ready to be revealed IN THE LAST TIME”. This salvation has been hidden in Christ but those who see and understand know that God always saves the best wine for the last! That which begins in the true faith of Christ will culminate in the full glory of Him who is the “Author and Perfecter of our faith”.

Go Up!

“See, the LORD your God has set the land before you. Go up, take possession, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has told you. Do not fear or be dismayed
Deuteronomy 1:21

The word of the Lord to Joshua was spoken to offset the fear and the discouragement of God’s people after 40 years of seemingly pointless wandering in the wilderness. As a faithless generation passed away, God was speaking faith and encouragement to a new generation. It was a time of change.

The call of God to possess the promises given had fallen to a New Generation and within those promises lay new responsibilities for them to to walk in. So it is in our day. There is an exhortation for us to “Go Up” into the things of God, to receive the fulness of His nature, His wonder and His great promises.

“May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God
Ephesians 3:18-19

His Word is for those who will rise and leave the aimless wandering in the wilderness of powerless words, a gospel that has been without direction and purpose, and the endless promotion of strategies born of self-seeking and carnal strivings.

“Go Up” is spoken to a new generation. “Go Up” is God’s Word to those whose hearts the paltry offerings of empty words can no longer satisfy. There is a generation who are complacent with words, teachings, and doctrinal concepts. But there is another generation who cannot find rest apart from the wonder of His Life within. The one generation must arise out of the apathy of the other.

To have our name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life
we must have the pulsating power of the Lamb’s Life.

Let us hear His Word afresh and feel the drawing of His Spirit to deeper things, higher things, living things. May the “Go Up” of God bring a new seeking of Him who makes “all things new”!

“Remember ye not the former things,
neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing;
NOW it shall spring forth…”
Isaiah 43:18-19

* Note: The coming year will bring to our land the “beginning of sorrows” not the fulfillment which is to follow. As the travail and labor of the Spirit must precede the bringing forth (Romans 8:21-23) of the full deliverance of creation and the unity for which Christ prayed so this coming year will precipitate a moving of His Own into a deeper apprehension of all that HE is.

  • What a clear, comprehensive, anointed word!! Thank you Brian and thanks be to Andrew Jukes whose light can be see in your writings. In my opinion, his book: “Types and Shadows in Genesis” is the most anointed book I’ve ever read on the book of Genesis.
Bless you and your ministry: May it even surpass Andrew Jukes’s.

“The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD,

    Proverbs 20:27

This is an amazing verse, similar to when the Lord said that the eye is the window of the body.
It speaks to me of the way that all of our nature and character are known to the Lord.
It’s why he brings the transformation that we need to be able to stand to minister. It’s why it all must be by His Spirit, in the way that SaraH was able to conceive (for one), and to give a natural birth (for another), but it is a spiritual observation that happens in us, like the way that Mary conceived without a man, but by the Holy Spirit who overshadows us as well.
    Thanks Brian, God bless

Yes amen… a good observation about Mary that being a pure illustration of God’s work being accomplished in our weakness. Blessing this coming year to you and your family.

I agree we’re definitely coming into a “new” season and unfortunately the Lord is about to make some major changes in those who refuse to disconnect from this world and follow Hi. Very timely message and God bless you Brian…Robin
