“Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak:
for your work shall be rewarded.”
2 Chronicles 15:7

The God of all wisdom speaks words of power and encouragement to those who labour in His fields. In this day of complacency, God exhorts those who have not drawn back, who have not settled on the “dregs” of former things.

“Moab has been at ease from his youth and has settled on his dregs; he has not been emptied from vessel to vessel, nor has he gone into exile; so his taste remains in him, and his scent is not changed.”
Jeremiah 48:11 (ESV)

In our day of prosperity, many have “settled” for what is. There is a slumber and an apathy that drowns out the pressing of His Spirit, a narcosis that envelopes the soul. This terrifying sense of well-being keeps us from the vital truth that we are in a “race” and are to be engaged in the “fight of faith”.

Paul reminds the Ekklesia at Corinth that they are in a race and in a fight, a truth that produces a vigilant walk with Him.

“So I do not run aimlessly;
I do not box as one beating the air.”
1 Corinthians 9:26

When we allow our faith to become words to rest on, rather than a power to move us, the battle ceases and the Christian experience becomes an endless rote of mundane living and uninspired existence.

Be Strong

God speaks. He beholds, and, within the silence of His own being, He records the works of every life. His Word to the seven Ekklesia in the Book of Revelation ought to be an encouragement to the faithful and a source of terror to the faithless: “I know your works”.

“O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!”
Isaiah 40:9

The true ministers of God bring the Good News, “get thee up into the high mountain” and “Behold your God”.

May we receive His Word. May we feel the vigour and the joy of knowing that HE SEES all and that He is the “rewarder” of the faithful. His reward is for those who exhort His people to “get thee up into the high mountain” and seek by every means to present God as He is, unafraid of what others may think.

It is the slumbering who despise the Word of the Lord to awake. It is the complacent who label others as “legalist” and “zealots”. Those who consider Him faithful labour on into the night and seek to remain steadfast unto Him who loves us with an everlasting love.

May His love well up in our hearts to press us into greater depths of service that we may know what it is to “spend and be spent” for Him.

“And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you;
though the more abundantly I love you,
the less I be loved.”
2 Corinthians 12:15

“For the Son of man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works.”
Matthew 16:27

“This IS eternal life; a life of everlasting love, showing itself in everlasting good works; and whosoever lives that life, he lives the life of God, and hath eternal life.”
— Charles Kingsley

“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His Name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end…”
Hebrews 6:10-11

Brian do you recall commenting on this dream from 2023?

    Complacency

Delilah is known as an anointing robbing spirit. Complacency is how it operates against the Ekklesia in the vision I saw.

I had a vision/ word, 02/28/2023, while driving. In the vision I saw an individual, representing the Ekklesia, with their head on the lap of a woman who was stroking their hair lulling them to sleep. The, “sleep”, here is the sleep of complacency and the woman is the spirit of Delilah. If you remember when Samson laid on Delilah’s lap he gave no thought of his Nazarite vow, willingly revealed the secret of his strength, i.e., anointing, and was subsequently robbed of it. When his enemy then attacked he “presumed” that everything was as it was but had not realized that the Spirit had left him thus allowing the enemy to bind and blind him.

We must guard our relationship with Jesus and never take for granted that His Holy Spirit will be with us if we, by becoming complacent, allow the fire 🔥 to go out.

Matthew 24:12 (TPT) 12 There will be such an increase of sin and lawlessness that those whose hearts once burned with passion for God and others will grow cold.

The Greek word for cold is (Olive Tree Enhanced Strong’s Dictionary)
    psychō which means:

    (Olive Tree Enhanced Strong’s Dictionary)
to breathe, blow, cool by blowingto be made or grow cool or coldmetaph. of waning love

Guard your relationship with Jesus well. Don’t take it for granted

  • Thank God for the strength the Lord gives those who love Him and are obedient to His will! 🙌 Blessings BT…
