A Word in Season – Charles Spurgeon

Quote for Today

“A man’s life is always more forcible than his speech. When men take stock of him they reckon his deeds as dollars and his words as pennies. If his life and doctrine disagree the mass of onlookers accept his practice and reject his preaching.”
– Charles Spurgeon

  1. Amen. I greatly appreciate inspired written words and inspired spoken words, but more importantly: a man’s life is the sermon, a man’s life is the witness. Sometimes I like to say: the Presence of God is more powerful than words. So if the Presence of God is in our daily life, then our daily life is a very powerful sermon.
