Podcast – The Fellowship of the Mystery
24 minutes
“…the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is CHRIST in YOU, the hope of glory.”
Colossians 2:26,27

In this message, Brian centers on the revelation that God’s people are defined not by religious systems, programs, or self-effort, but by the indwelling presence of Christ. Paul’s burden was to make believers see their participation in the “fellowship of the mystery,” which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
True fellowship (koinonia) is shared spiritual life, where each believer contributes what Christ has formed within them. No Christian is insignificant; every member is essential to the corporate revelation of Christ, and spiritual maturity flows from responding to Christ individually within the context of our gatherings.
The fullness of the “mystery of Christ” is only realized by every believer participating in a living communion with Christ. The early church walked in the power of God because they ministered unto the Lord in a unity of faith, bound together in the Love of God.
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
1 Corinthians 12:4-7

“The same bond which unites believers to Christ binds them to each other. The love which is exercised towards the Head extends to the members. The union itself necessarily involves a union of affection. Those who love Christ love those who are like Him and those who are beloved by Him.”
