HIS WORK IN US

His Work in Us

“Let Your work be seen in Your servants,
and Your majesty to their sons”
Psalm 90:16
(Green’s Literal Translation)

Our lives are to be an evident token of God’s work in us.  The work of God is to be seen IN us by how we conduct the affairs of this life.  Who we are demonstrates who God is in our life.  There exists no other medium whereby we can reveal Him. Religion is concerned with words, phrases and terminology; truth is concerned with being and character.  The crux of truth is measured in reality.  It is the actual demonstration of character that reveals the extent of God’s work in a man. His work is to be SEEN (not just heard) in our lives.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen”
Hebrews 11:1

We must realize that FAITH is an actual substance in God’s eyes. It is not, as many may think, an intellectual concept, belief in a random collection of scriptures or a worked up religious fervour or feeling.  Faith is a substance that is in itself the very evidence of things not seen.  True faith must produce an evidential expression of things not seen.

Where there is no evidential expression there is no faith.  Without faith there can be no righteousness for true righteousness is the evidence of faith.  Without faith there can be no true works for true faith produces the works of God in our lives.

“Let Your work be seen in Your servants,
and Your majesty to their sons”
Psalm 90:16

If His work is real and demonstrative in the lives of His servants it will affect their sons.  Whether they are spiritual or natural there must be a substantive ministration of His majesty to those around us.  Moses’ Psalm is true for every generation. May God’s desire for every one of His servants be our cry.

Lord, “Let YOUR work be SEEN in your servants” and “YOUR Majesty to our sons”!

May I humbly put forth that, just as God is Love, so also Christ is Faith, which was bestowed to all that have been born into His Kingdom?

      Hello Roger

Good to hear from you. Yes faith is the gift of God, but as in the Parable of the sower it is the soil not the seed that determines it’s fruitfulness. Real faith expresses it’s Author in the reality of our life.

      Blessings
      Brian
