“MAKING OUR REQUESTS KNOWN”

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”
PHILIPPIANS 4:6

It is the privilege and the right of every child of God to be free from anxious care. This is not a LIFE that is entered into easily nor carelessly. It is within the purpose of God to BRING us to such a place of trust and reliance upon our God. The ANSWER is having the simplicity of a child in turning those anxious thoughts into prayers and supplications. The childlike life of the SON within each of us is not a starting point in our life with HIM. Rather it is an essential quality of being that enables us to LIVE within the PROVISION of all that is in HIM. This childlike faith is what we must GROW INTO in order to ENTER the KINGDOM OF GOD!

“Except ye be converted, and BECOME as little children,
ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven”
MATTHEW 18:3

It is in us becoming as little children that we are enabled to ENTER the Kingdom. It is believing that the things which cause anxiousness within our hearts can simply be released to our Heavenly Father through prayer and supplication! We are instructed here that “IN EVERYTHING” by the medium of prayer and supplication and with THANKSGIVING we are to make our requests known unto God! It is BY the DOING of these things that we BECOME living participants of HIS provision and life. This simple truth is not easily learned. It is in our being converted (changed and transformed) that this LIFE is developed and grown into; converted here in the Greek means “to turn one’s self from one’s course of conduct, i.e. to change one’s mind”. The prevailing concept in a large segment of the Christian world concerning “conversion” is one of something that happened at a certain point in time. But unless we see it a as a daily need, to ever be in the process of BEING changed, ever becoming, ever growing from “glory to glory”, we are stagnant in our relationship with HIM.

Change is the evidence of LIFE. Conversion and transformation from what we are into the simplicity of HIS LIFE within us is the essential business of this LIFE.

This life of making our requests known unto God as the answer to our anxious cares is directly related to the power of a FAITH that is real and dynamic within our hearts. It is only by FAITH that we are able to make such transactions with God that will produce within us a freedom from our anxiousness and care.
